Notes | He was born andlived in Cromer. He enlisted Norwich. In the 1911 census his age is 26 and he is single, with his ooccupation given as Chimney Sweep. He was the son of Ann Golding, a widow of New Street, Cromer. He died at Aubigny on 1st May 1917, aged 32.
Lines in the War Roll read,"We loved him in life, he is dear to us still; But in grief we must bend to God's holy will". |
Service Information | Private 30996 of the 4th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment. Died of wounds in France and is buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, Pas de Calais, France. Ref. II. J. 52. |
