Notes | Cyril Levine served with the Machine Gun Corps. He died on 27th May, 1917, of wounds received at Arras on 9th April 1917. He was aged 20 at the time of his death. His brother Myer was killed a year later in a flying accident whilst training in England. Their parents were Louis and Barbara Levine of "Dunrobin", Norwich Road, Cromer. |

![]() | CROMER Pte. Cyril Levine, Machine Gun Corps, was wounded in France on April 9th. Removed to Napsbury War Hospital St. Albans, he died on May 27th. Twenty years of age, he was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Levine, of Church-street, Cromer, and was educated at Bracondale School, Norwich. He was engaged as manager of his father's branch business at Norwich when war broke out, and joined the Forces in April, 1916. After six months training was sent to France, and received the wounds which cost him his life a twelve-month to a day of his enlistment. He is to be accorded a military funeral this (Friday) afternoon at Norwich, of which city he was, like his father, a native. |
