NotesHe was born Ketteringham, Norfolk and enlisted Norwich.He was the son of Harry Thomas and Minnie Youell, of Station House, Cromer, Norfolk. On the 1911 census he was aged 19, and his occupation was given as Railway Clerk. At that time he was living Norwich Road, North Walsham with his parents; they are given the Cromer address in the service records so presumably moved to Cromer between 1911 and his joining up. He is listed at the back of the War Roll in Cromer parish church with those whose photographs are not present.
Service InformationPrivate G/14742, C Company 11th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action with the British Expeditionary Force on 3rd April 1918, aged 26. Commemorated on Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France. Panel 46 and 47.
